I've been interested in all aspects of human performance physiology since becoming involved in competitive sports as a teenager. This led me to pursue a degree in Physiological Sciences from UCLA and I have devoted nearly 20 years of my life to studying human physiology and the science, art and practice of human performance, muscle gain, fat loss and body recomposition.

I am known in the industry for taking a no-nonsense approach to things: I won't tell people what they want to hear to make a sale. I'll only tell them what I feel is the truth, based on current research and real world experience.

My books are not filled with endless fluff and filler, no endless photos of bodybuilders or pages of supplement ads. When you read my books, you will learn about human physiology, nutrition and metabolism and how it applies to the pursuit of increased muscle mass, decreased bodyfat or better athletic performance.
