There is a lot of scientific theory and information but there are very applied chapters looking at specific whole food proteins sources, protein powders and supplements, along with specific recommendations (types, timing, amounts) for protein to optimize training for various goals.  That includes endurance athletes, strength/power athletes, bodybuilders, dieting, etc.  

I really tried to make it comprehensive and if you don&#039;t want all the science, you can just skip to the later chapters which deal with specific proteins sources and recommendations.
