		<description>I would generally define metabolic type weight training as using higher reps and shorter rest periods (as opposed to weight training based arond heavier loads and longer rest intervals).

It&#039;s similar to interval training in that regards.  There tends to be more glycogen depletion, a hormonal response similar to taht of interval training and the goal is more on thea mount of work done than the weight used per se.
